I Wanted to Keep My Sex and the City Dress, Miley Cyrus

For Miley Cyrus, her current Sex and the City 2 cameo appearance was all about the fashion.
In her scene, Cyrus, 16, wears the same dress as Samantha Jones (Kim Cattrall) at what appeared to be a movie premiere for Samantha's on-and-off beau, Smith Jerrod (Jason Lewis).
Cast members Sarah Jessica Parker (Carrie Bradshaw), Chris Noth (Mr. Big) and Mario Cantone (Anthony Marantino) were also at the shoot, which took place at New York City's Ziegfeld Theater. A marquee revealed the Smith Jerrod movie to be titled Heart of the Dessert.

But while Cyrus indulged her passion for style, at the end of the day she wasn't able to expand her wardrobe, like the show's quartet of fashionistas.
"I didn't get to keep the dress because they need it for Kim," Cyrus tells Extra. "But I got to keep the necklace. The necklace is cool. It's, like, these giant spikes, and I wanted to wear it while I was performing. My mom was like, 'That could be dangerous. ...You can't wear that onstage.'"

A self proclaimed "huge fan" of the Sex and the City franchise, Cyrus says it was a thrill to meet series star Parker.
"Sarah Jessica Parker is so cute," Cyrus -- recently on tour promoting her single "Party in the U.S.A." -- says. "And the first thing she did was hold someone's coffee so that they could take a picture with me."

Miley Cyrus: Didn't contract swine flu says her rep

Actress Miley Cyrus does not have swine flu, has confirmed her rep. Cody Linley, Cyrus' friend and old co-star from The Hannah Montana Show, had earlier said that the 16 year old ran off stage during a Sept. 29 concert in Salt Lake City, Utah, according to KTLA.com.
Cody said: "She just got actually sick and she had to run off stage because things were just, like, on her heart too heavy. She told next day me she had the swine flu." However, Cyrus' rep told Us mag: "She did not have swine flu."

'I Don't Really Miss' Twitter, Miley Cyrus Says

If you're holding out hope that Miley Cyrus will return to Twitter, it's time to focus your energy elsewhere. The singer, who quit the site earlier this month, said that she's much happier now that she's not focused on sharing every minute detail of her life with the world.
"I actually haven't missed it," the singer said on 104.7 FM's Johnjay and Rich gig in Arizona Tuesday, US Weekly reported. "I thought I was going to miss it a lot more than I do, but I haven't even actually looked at other people's, which is really weird. I don't actually miss it. It's kind of odd."
Despite earlier reports that she left Twitter at the request of her rumored beau and "The Last Song" co-star, Liam Hemsworth, she says she decided to leave when she realized how much it was affecting the way she lived her life. "It was 3:30 or 4 in the morning. I couldn't sleep," she explained. "[I thought], 'Maybe I could sleep if I wasn't so friggin' busy twittering about not being able to sleep.' "
Her last tweet read: "FYI Liam doesn't have a twttr & he wants ME 2 delete mine w/ gd reason," but since then the "Hannah Montana" star has not only gone on the radio to explain her reasons for leaving, but also released a statement and a rap song about it days after she left.
In the statement, she said, "Rumors have been started that Liam is the reason that I deleted my Twitter. I hope my true fans know how stupid that is. I had mentioned to him that someone made a fake Twitter with his name and we both starting chatting about how ridiculous it is." She added, "Liam is a wonderful friend and he did not try to make me delete my page, he just helped me realize how much time I was wasting on that site."

A week after Miley Cyrus signed off Twitter for good due to the request of her new beau, several other celebrities are following suit. But, Trent Reznor could be said to have really started the exodus. In July, he posted, “I believe I’ve done all I care to do here at this point. Flesh and reality and silence are calling.”
Courtney Love quietly deleted both her accounts after her daughter posted a lengthy rant on another Twitter esque service railing against Ali Lohan. However, she’s also the subject of the first ever Twitter lawsuit, after posting a tweet calling her former fashion designer a “nasty lying hosebag thief.”
Things are a bit less complicated for Lily Allen. She quit the service, posting simply “I am a neo luddite, goodbye,” and failing to ever post again. It is suspected her reasons for quitting are more in line with Miley’s coinciding with her relationship with Sam Cooper, a layman builder.
Another thing keeping Love and Allen from keeping up with everyone via tweets? The risk of giving away their latest hospital stay. Both have been mum about their plastic surgery improvements Love only recently admitted to lip augmentation, which she later had reversed, a nose job, and breast implants.
Allen has been seen visiting lipo clinics in L.A., but that hasn’t stopped the rumors from flying after she posted on her blog during a stint in Seattle that she was too big and depressed about her size. The posts came after Allen visited fashion week in Paris.

Miley Cyrus quits Twitter

NEW YORK — Miley Cyrus has quit Twitter, leaving her fans puzzled over her abrupt exit.
The most popular was the teen pop star people on the microblogging site, with more than 1.1 million followers. But the account for the 16 year old Cyrus is no longer available.
In one of her last posts, she wrote that Liam Hemsworth, her co star in the upcoming film "The Last Song," wanted her to delete her Twitter account "with good reason."
Publicists for Cyrus didn't instantly return requests for comment Thursday.
Fans of Cyrus have arranged on Twitter under the heading "mileycomeback," which was one of the most popular topics on the site Thursday.

Re-starts tour after illness Miley Cyrus

Miley Cyrus is expected to resume her world tour tomorrow after postponing a series of concerts last week due to illness.
The actress has been battling throat problems, forcing her to pull out of several shows on her recent 'Wonder World' tour.
However, Cyrus revealed that she has now been given the all clear by doctors, meaning that tomorrow's scheduled performance in Michigan will now go ahead as originally planned.
She wrote on her Twitter page: "Got the go ahead from the Doc & the beast is ready to be unleashed! I always love performing in MI but this show is gonna get crazzzzyyy! (sic)"

Miley Cyrus Concert Postponed, Rescheduled For Oct. 28

KTVI - FOX2now.com) - Fans of Miley Cyrus will be disappointed that Sunday night's scheduled concert in St. Louis has been postponed until October 28th because the teen superstar has strep throat. Her concert Saturday night in Kansas City was postponed until Oct. 17. All paperless tickets for the postponed gigs will be honored on the rescheduled date. Refunds also are available. The gig will still begin at 7:00pm with opening act Metro Station.
