New “Mature” Attitude to Miley Cyrus: Tiffany and Debbie Gibson Weigh in

Miley Cyrus, growing up too soon, or just doing a little harmless teenage boundary pushing? At the moment it’s a hot topic of conversation, and Yahoo Music Blogs decided to find out where 80’s pop idols, Debbie Gibson and Tiffany would weigh in on the debate.
Who have been there as two ladies, and know what Miley is going through, Debbie (who now goes by Deborah, being all grown up herself) and Tiffany have strong opinions on the subject. And, true to their 80’s pop rivalry roots, very different opinions at that.
Tiffany believes that Miley is stepping into a more mature image “appropriately,” thanks to guidance from her parents Billy Ray Cyrus and Cindy Cyrus. According to Tiffany, Miley’s more risqué outfit choices, songs and behavior (like faking a sultry kiss with a back up dancer during her performance on “Britain’s Got Talent”) is all part of a well managed attempt to move into a market that is all about “pop-star-as-sex-symbol.”
Deborah Gibson, on the other hand, praises the young star’s talent and easy going attitude, but thinks that her new image is “a little too much too soon.” Gibson wishes that Miley would realize that childhood is worth embracing, and not push her’s away.
For those of you enjoying pleasant 80’s high school flashbacks thanks to the names “Tiffany” and “Debbie Gibson” you may want to check out the SyFy channel’s upcoming “Mega Python vs. Gataroid. Gibson and Tiffany are pairing up again as the stars of the film, this time they’ll be doing battle with a pair of giant mutant monsters, rather than battling each other on the pop charts.

Miley Cyrus still not a fan of 'Twilight'

Miley Cyrus has again said that she is not a fan of the Twilight series. According to MTV, the popstar does not care about the popular films."I'd rather keep the dead and revolting things like vampires and werewolves out of my life," the 17 year old said when asked if she was a fan of the franchise. Cyrus previously told Entertainment Weekly that she hated vampires and last year compared the series to a "cult".The singer also admitted to never having seen any of the movies in the franchise.

There isn’t a huge distributor behind it. I’ll be making a film that we think is going to touch people. It’s got a lot of edginess to it and it’s definitely not just for the fan base of Hannah Montana. So that’s both exciting and nerve wracking. You never know how people are going react to that. But you’ve just got to choose things that you actually like and that are right for you at the time.”

“Miley gets frustrated when the people in coffee shops screw up Liam’s name – often writing Leon on his takeout cups,” a source explained to the National Enquirer. “So now, when she or Liam are asked for his name when they are ordering drinks they just say, ‘Kevin.’”

At a report MILEY CYRUS has hit back she's been caught cheating on boyfriend LIAM HEMSWORTH - insisting it's "not her" in a photo alleged to show her with a mystery man.
The Hannah Montana star acted swiftly after a post on celebrity blog PerezHilton.com contained an image of a young woman in a black bikini reclining on a boat in the arms of a semi naked hunk.
The report alleged the woman in the footage is Cyrus - but she has moved quickly to crush the claim.

Miley Cyrus took a trip across the pond and put rumors of trouble in paradise with boyfriend Liam Hemsworth to rest by sharing how the magic of the movies can bring two stars together with BBC One's "The Graham Norton Show."

Miley Cyrus buys new Dog.

Miley Cyrus was seen at Los Angeles hit-kennel Paws Palace, buying a new dog, a Labradoodle, last week.

The puppy supposedly a girl, is called, Miam, after Miley and boyfriend Liams couple name.

Miley and Liam were spotted an hour later taking the dog a walk. Liam called the dog, "Daddys little girl". He gave his girlfriend a kiss, before saying to the dog, "Wanna meet your big brother" relating to Mileys dog, Mate.

Mileys parents Tish and Billy Ray have commented on their daughters new dog, "Miley, an animal lover, is driving us crazy with her pets!"

Yesterday the puppy was seen wearing an, "I Love Mommy" dog t-shirt. Miley had also been showing off her new car, a Mercades hybrid, with Barbie dolls on the dash and a new parking ticket on the front window!

I Wanted to Keep My Sex and the City Dress, Miley Cyrus

For Miley Cyrus, her current Sex and the City 2 cameo appearance was all about the fashion.
In her scene, Cyrus, 16, wears the same dress as Samantha Jones (Kim Cattrall) at what appeared to be a movie premiere for Samantha's on-and-off beau, Smith Jerrod (Jason Lewis).
Cast members Sarah Jessica Parker (Carrie Bradshaw), Chris Noth (Mr. Big) and Mario Cantone (Anthony Marantino) were also at the shoot, which took place at New York City's Ziegfeld Theater. A marquee revealed the Smith Jerrod movie to be titled Heart of the Dessert.

But while Cyrus indulged her passion for style, at the end of the day she wasn't able to expand her wardrobe, like the show's quartet of fashionistas.
"I didn't get to keep the dress because they need it for Kim," Cyrus tells Extra. "But I got to keep the necklace. The necklace is cool. It's, like, these giant spikes, and I wanted to wear it while I was performing. My mom was like, 'That could be dangerous. ...You can't wear that onstage.'"

A self proclaimed "huge fan" of the Sex and the City franchise, Cyrus says it was a thrill to meet series star Parker.
"Sarah Jessica Parker is so cute," Cyrus -- recently on tour promoting her single "Party in the U.S.A." -- says. "And the first thing she did was hold someone's coffee so that they could take a picture with me."

NEW YORK — Miley Cyrus has quit Twitter, leaving her fans puzzled over her abrupt exit.
The most popular was the teen pop star people on the microblogging site, with more than 1.1 million followers. But the account for the 16 year old Cyrus is no longer available.
In one of her last posts, she wrote that Liam Hemsworth, her co star in the upcoming film "The Last Song," wanted her to delete her Twitter account "with good reason."
Publicists for Cyrus didn't instantly return requests for comment Thursday.
Fans of Cyrus have arranged on Twitter under the heading "mileycomeback," which was one of the most popular topics on the site Thursday.

Re-starts tour after illness Miley Cyrus

Miley Cyrus is expected to resume her world tour tomorrow after postponing a series of concerts last week due to illness.
The actress has been battling throat problems, forcing her to pull out of several shows on her recent 'Wonder World' tour.
However, Cyrus revealed that she has now been given the all clear by doctors, meaning that tomorrow's scheduled performance in Michigan will now go ahead as originally planned.
She wrote on her Twitter page: "Got the go ahead from the Doc & the beast is ready to be unleashed! I always love performing in MI but this show is gonna get crazzzzyyy! (sic)"

It seems 'Hannah Montana' star Miley Cyrus has decided to take her summer fling with 'Last Song' co-star Liam Hemsworth to the next level.
The Australian actor was in the conferences for Cyrus's sold out gig at the Staples Center last night, and he wasn't just there as a fan like Ashley Tisdale and Miranda Cosgrove.
According to a source, Hemsworth is officially her boyfriend and the couple have been dating for more than three months, E!Online reported.
"The twosome didn't try to hide their affection later
at her private after party at Katsuya, where they were "lovey-dovey," the source added.
And interestingly, her ex-boyfriend, underwear model Justin Gaston is reportedly spending time with Cyrus's best friend, Mandy Jiroux.
Gaston was in the audience to support Jiroux as she performed with her group 'The Beach Girl 5' at Upper Manhattan.

Miley Cyrus points to new tour, album and movie as signs she's maturing, in career and life

NEW YORK - Miley Cyrusdoesn't need to look at the music charts to know that her songs are making a connection with the fans all she has to do is update her Twitter page.
"I'm stoked that people have been so supportive," she says of her latest project, the EP "The Time of Our Lives. "On my Twitter, (I get) so many replies like 'This song inspires me' and 'This inspires me.' ... One of the reasons why I love that site is being able to look what people are saying about the record."
Of course, having a best selling record is good reassurance too and Miley getting plenty of it these days. The EP is near the top of the charts and her song "The Climb" has been No. 1 on Billboard's adult contemporary chart for weeks.
It's just another example of the maturing career of the 16-year-old Miley. While she's still known to millions as the star of the Disney phenomenon "Hannah Montana," she's not just a teen queen anymore. VH1 crowned her as one of their "Divas," she's in an upcoming movie playing a defiant teen and she's calling the shots on her "Wonder World" tour.
Miley currently talked to The Associated Press about her new gig, growing up and what being a diva means to her.
AP: Describe the new album "The Time of Our Lives."
Miley: It is a transitioning album. ... Everything is like a stepping stone. And that was actually to introduce people to what I want my next record to sound like and with time I will be able to do that a little more and timing is just everything. So it is actually about us working our way up to being able to do the music you really love.
AP: A lot of your music you write yourself. Do you ever write a song and go, "Oh my God, wait, that is too personal, I don't need to put that out?"
